I can’t quite believe it, but it has been exactly a year today, that I said YES to an opportunity that I’d been dreaming of for a very long time.
Having never done any kind of renovation before, the moment I realised how much work this space required, I wondered what the hell I’d gotten myself into, but with vision and blind faith plus the skills and support of @jacobmakesmusic, on a mega budget we transformed the space into a dreamy little shop. It took 3 months of hard graft, dedication and zero free weekends to make it look like that☝🏻but I was working towards something that my heart had committed to, and it was more than worth it in the end. When we finally opened I can’t explain the feeling of achievement and elation to finally share it with everyone 🖤
I now share it with my mum @liz_jones29_ who is an incredible artist and designer and sells her one-off organic clothing in the shop. (It recently occurred to me that my grandparents had a textile shop on Leeds market which my mum used to help out at, so running shops runs in the family!) I love all the sustainable brands we have in store, and I’m looking forward to introducing you to some more hand-picked delights this summer.
Having been closed for 3 months over winter, we were due to throw a re-opening party on the spring solstice a couple of weeks ago just when we were told we had to close. I’m literally SO excited to open this little, beautiful shop which I love so much, as soon as we can, and I’m planning the BEST opening party ever, hugs and dancing and the lot 💛💃🍾🍻🌮🌴💫
Can’t wait to see you all here soon!
